Nathalie Descampe welcomes us to the Golf de Rigenée, 55 hectares of farmland now turned into a fairway.
Founded in 1982 by Caroline and Emmanuel Descampe, the Golf de Rigenée is today a reference for amateurs and professionals alike. The landscape has changed over the last 40 years, and the golf club has relied on a perpetual development to adapt accordingly.
The motto of the club’s team is: Never rest on your laurels!
The structure now plays host different groups of all ages and all levels. From Seniors to a golf school for the youngest enthusiasts, the Women’s Day and the Men’s Day twice a month, there is something for everyone at the Golf de Rigenée.
Thinking positive
Golf de Rigenée has managed to make the most of this exceptional period. Like all sports facilities, they were forced to close their doors to members for over 7 weeks. They had two choices under such conditions: Wait and see with minimal maintenance or be resourceful and find a silver lining.
The Rigenée team opted for the latter without hesitation. The team pulled out all the stops and took advantage of the period without traffic to carry out all the work that would otherwise have taken months.
“Our idea was to create a wow effect, i.e. that the members arrive on a course full of novelties and improvements at the opening. We wanted our members not just to be happy to come back but also to feel that the team had continued to work for them. ”
Although they had to rethink the way they worked completely to comply with health measures, the team adapted and also had the help of many members when they opened. Everyone fought to keep the Rigenée spirit alive and the structure as accessible and as friendly possible.
“Course, conviviality and accessibility. ”
These are the three strong points of Rigenée Golf. The Rigenée team is at the service of its members. Their main question: “What can we do for you? ”The team members are on hand seven days a week to make sure that everyone finds the answers to their questions and that no member or visitor is left to fend for themselves. They are also a reference in terms of accessibility, whether it be the availability of the secretariat, training facilities or value for money. As for the courses, they are not to be outdone. The Golf de Rigenée offers magnificent courses to both amateurs and professionals.
